Answer: Some constipating foods also provide a health benefit so it may not be wise to avoid them entirely, but here is a list of foods that have been known to cause constipation. Discuss any dietary changes with your physician beforehand.

This looks a lot like my list of favorite foods, which can be depressing at first glance, but you do not have to eliminate them entirely.
Simply decrease the amount of these types of foods in your diet and replace them with fruits, vegetables, and foods high in fiber. These will help to promote healthy and regular bowel movements which should help you get past this bout of constipation.
Now that you have a list of constipating foods and you are aware that you do not need to cut them out entirely you should be able to alleviate your symptoms.
