Question: I was wondering if you could give me enema instructions. I bought one for a procedure I am having and the instructions are not clear. I get the basic principle, but would just like to be sure. Thank you for your help.

Answer: Since enema instructions vary from brand to brand  we cannot give you a detailed step by step guide, but we will be happy ot give you a general overview of how an enema works.

Basically there are two types of enemas for home use. There are disposable and reusable enema kits. Since you mentioned buying one for a procedure we are assuming you are using a disposable type. This is good because they are easier to explain.

There should be a tip, a clamp, the bag, and the solution. Follow the following steps and you should be, pardon the pun, good to go:

  • Mix the solution according to the instructions. If they do not make sense people have been using soap and water for centuries.
  • Connect the tube to the bag on one end and the tip at the other holding the tube above the bag. Tighten the clamp so the solution doesn’t spray everywhere.
  • Find a comfortable position and insert the nozzle. If it is not pre-lubricated add a dab of Vaseline.
  • Release the clamp and allow the solution to flow until you feel very full.

The next steps will be all natural and will not require any special enema instructions. We hope this has been helpful, but please feel free to visit us again if you have further questions.
